Test

The choices made in the November election are a test of the moral compass of our nation. The nation is being tested; do we want a woman president just for the sake of the gender? Do we choose evil and dishonesty just for the sake of the gender? I think the nation has been presented a choice of two evils. Do we choose the lesser or the greater evil? In a time when only the very wealthy are allowed to run as candidates to be leaders of our nation we as a people must make the right choice. Great change to our society can only come from the local level. Those we choose as our representatives in Washington must be considered carefully – will they lead us into further decay and corruption or will they change the direction and move us onto a more enlightened path?

  1. Interesting post. Who would you like the American people to vote for? Who better represents American ideals? It will be interesting to see the choice that America will make. It will be known from this election whether Americans are mere preachers of ideals or people who live what they preach.

    1. Unfortunately, our presidential choices are limited to two candidates that have no moral compass. My generation (I am 66 years old) have created the political mess that our nation now faces. The candidates that may be best for our nation seem to be eliminated before they have a chance to prove themselves. Votes are bought and sold, those that have the most money win. As to your question: “Who would you like the American people to vote for?” I have no answer. I prefer that the Clintons see no more time in the White House, yet I don’t think Mr. Trump is up to the job. As I have to choose the lesser of two evils I believe Mr. Trump is a better choice.
