Carol F Newman/Barben
My Family, My mother was born on October 15, 1920, in Lehi Utah and died January 3, 2000, in West Jordan Utah. My mother did not lead a charmed life. Consequently, she buried two husbands, Donald C. Newman and Fred D. Palfreyman. She married Fred on June 6th, 1958. Fred died from cancer on October 28, 1974. After eleven years of being single, she married Howard Barben on January 12, 1985.
Donald C Newman
Unfortunately, it’s a little difficult for me to write anything about my father since I never got the chance to know him. I can give a little statistical information, but nothing really personal. He was born on February 21, 1916, and died November 16, 1951. He served in the Armed Services, enlisted October 20, 1941, at Ft. Douglas, Utah. He married my mother on August 23, 1946.
The Fredrickson family. Because I’m not sure when this picture was taken but most likely in the early 1950s or a little before. I say that because I remember seeing grandpa Fredrickson one time when I was very young.
Jethro S Newman
This is a picture of the Jethro S Newman family. I’m not sure when this picture was taken but I’m guessing sometime in the late 1940s. It is one of my favorite photographs of the Newman family.
Because all the members of the family represented in the pictures above have passed on to the next world. With the exception of one, Marlene E Bunkall. As far as I know, she is alive and living in a care facility. My mother’s people were partial founders of the town of Vernon Utah.
There was a time when my website included most of my cousins and their children. Today I don’t include them because, as with most relatives, I haven’t been in touch with them for several decades.
