Forgotten website

I have known for a long time that there aren’t many people visiting my website. One of the reasons I have keep this site open is to make it possible for friends and relatives to find me. For a period of time I posted my address and phone number, hoping someone would call or write to me. Nothing ever happened except I started getting a lot of robo calls.

This website has been on the internet for 20 or more years. It’s appearance has changed many times and may continue to change as I get new ideas about its appearance. I don’t use the website to its full potential, I could use it as a personal daily blog but I don’t often have a lot of news or interesting information to share.

I don’t use Facebook very often so if messages are left for me on Facebook chances are I may not see them until months after they were posted. I intend to include a contact page so anyone interested in contacting me will have an easy way to do so.

Dilemma

I am having a hard time deciding what to do about my McDonald’s employment. The other day I submitted my resignation. Patty talked me out of resigning. She said something to the effect that she can’t get along without me. She gave me Saturday and Sunday off and I will have a static schedule of 8 AM to Noon Monday through Friday. I’m going to give the new schedule a try to see how it all works out.

Thoughts

Writing down my thoughts should be an easy task, but for me not so much. I sometimes think I would like to express myself to others but I frequently find I don’t have very much to say. I am fearful if I expose too much of myself to others I won’t be liked. Very few people really know who I am or what I stand for. I created this website and provided a lot of information about myself but somehow it isn’t enough. Sometimes I feel lost.

Conquer

There are advantages and disadvantages to using Artisteer.net as my hosting provider. One advantage is that it’s free. A disadvantage is that it is not compatible with blogging software. I can live with that.

Today’s Daily Prompt Word is Conquer. For me if I make it through a day without encountering major adversity I have Conquered the day.

My posts are short and sometimes to the point. I know this post won’t show up on the Daily Prompt page because I use Artisteer.net as my host, so no one will read it.

I may eventually move my site back to a paid hosting service. I wonder if it is really worth the cost.

The New Garden

Another spring is around the corner and it’s time to plant a new garden. I’m going to cut back on the number of tomato plants this year. I think one plant is enough. More later.

EXAMPLE

This website contains a record of the history of the many places I have lived during my life. See the “My History” section of my website.

Another Change

Another major change is taking place with this website. The hosting company I’m using for my website is doubling their hosting fee. I’m not going to pay, so I’m moving my site back to “artisteer.net”. My site gets almost no visitors and I rarely write any posts these days so why should I pay for hosting service? I keep my domain name so I can have my email address. Well enough of this post for now. Maybe more later . . .

Test

The choices made in the November election are a test of the moral compass of our nation. The nation is being tested; do we want a woman president just for the sake of the gender? Do we choose evil and dishonesty just for the sake of the gender? I think the nation has been presented a choice of two evils. Do we choose the lesser or the greater evil? In a time when only the very wealthy are allowed to run as candidates to be leaders of our nation we as a people must make the right choice. Great change to our society can only come from the local level. Those we choose as our representatives in Washington must be considered carefully – will they lead us into further decay and corruption or will they change the direction and move us onto a more enlightened path?

Recharge

I haven’t written a post in a very long time. It’s been such a long time I’m not sure how to start. Recently I have heard it said that bloggers should focus on posting information that the main stream media won’t print. I’m not sure if I can do that, I don’t have any sources that provide me with unpublished news feeds. What I do know is I’m not very happy with the way things are going in this country today. I am speaking of the November election. As a country our choices for president say a lot about how far we have fallen since the founding of our country. We have the opportunity to choose from a habitual liar and a conceited narcissist. What kind of president would either one of them make? I believe the habitual liar would continue to move our nation into a communistic socialist society. We are nearly there now. As for the conceited narcissist I’m not sure what his agenda is. It may be to sell out to the highest bidder in the world market. Who knows? In my opinion neither one of them are qualified to lead this nation into continued prosperity for all. Unfortunately moving this country back into prosperity and a position of power is not as easy as recharging a battery.
