The Crown is a very interesting series created by Netflix. The show loosely follows the life and events of Queen Elizabeth. Because I’ve never paid much attention to the royal family I find this show very informative. Knowing that the show may not be entirely factual I kept an open mind. One impression I get from the show is that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip were not always happy. I haven’t watched the entire series of The Crown, so I may rewrite this post later. There are other series reviews under the tag Favorite TV Shows.

After doing a little research on the Crown I discovered that there’s going to be a new season showing on Netflix sometime in the last part of 2019. From what I understand it is going to have a new cast but will follow the same storyline. Tobias Menzies will be playing Prince Phillip, Olivia Colman will play Queen Elizabeth, Helena Bonham Carter will play Princess Margaret. I look forward to the continuation of this TV series.
Because of the additional text information I just added, I am going to change the publish date of this post to September 11, 2019. I may also be composing some new posts about TV shows I have been watching.
Based on an award-winning play (“The Audience”) by showrunner Peter Morgan, this lavish, Netflix-original drama chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy) Queen Elizabeth. from the 1940s to modern times. The series begins with an inside look at the early reign of the queen, who ascended the throne at age 25 after the death of her father, King George VI. As the decades pass, personal intrigues, romances, and political rivalries are revealed that played a big role in events that shaped the later years of the 20th century.
